Your agreement and account
By creating an owner account, you confirm that you are authorised to act for the restaurant or venue and agree to these terms. You must provide accurate account information and protect your password, settings code and device access.
One venue subscription covers that venue account and its permitted devices. The settings code protects management actions on shared devices. You are responsible for keeping the account password and settings code private and promptly removing device access that is no longer needed.
What TabChef provides
TabChef provides restaurant tables, order workflows, kitchen tickets, operational order summaries and, on eligible plans, reservations, embeds and insights. Features and limits are those shown for the selected plan at purchase.
Public reservation guests do not create a TabChef account. The restaurant remains responsible for its opening hours, capacity, menu, guest communications, privacy notice and service decisions.
Not a fiscal cash register
The MVP order summary is an operational guest check. It is not a fiscal receipt, legally compliant invoice or proof of payment. The restaurant's existing point-of-sale system remains responsible for payment, tax, receipt numbering and country-specific fiscalisation unless a separately verified integration says otherwise.
Plans and billing
Web subscriptions are coordinated by RevenueCat and billed through Stripe. Native subscriptions are coordinated by RevenueCat and billed through the App Store. The Firebase account identifier links the same owner to their subscription across platforms.
The checkout shows the current price, renewal period and applicable tax before purchase. Renewal, cancellation, refund and payment-management rules also follow the terms of the billing provider and mandatory local law. Access changes only after a verified billing event is received; shared service devices cannot start checkout.
Fair and lawful use
You may use TabChef only for lawful restaurant operations. Do not attempt to bypass plan limits, access another venue, disrupt the service, probe security controls, upload unlawful material or use guest information for an unrelated purpose.
You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of restaurant content and for having an appropriate basis to process staff and guest data. TabChef may restrict access needed to protect the service, another customer or the public.
Availability and responsibility
TabChef is built to make restaurant operations reliable, but uninterrupted or error-free availability cannot be guaranteed. Keep an appropriate service fallback and verify critical orders, bookings, exports and billing state.
The restaurant remains responsible for food service, prices, taxes, consumer obligations, payments and fiscal records. To the extent permitted by law, TabChef is not responsible for indirect losses or decisions made from incorrect restaurant data. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.
Ending service and changes
You can stop using TabChef and manage or cancel a subscription through the billing provider. Cancellation does not erase data immediately or remove payment obligations already incurred. You can request account or venue deletion, subject to required retention and verification.
These terms may change as the product evolves. Material changes will be posted here with a new update date. Questions can be sent to david@strics.at.
